For instance:

Wednesday, May 8th: We had an informative presentation from Larry Pfeiffer, our TRS Annuity Trustee, discussing TRS Pensions: past, present, and future. We also had the opportunity to present the Area 3 IRTA Foundation Scholarship Award to Annabella Chlada and her father.

Wednesday, September 11th: Our guest speaker, “Skip” Gonsoulin, from the Illinois State Attorney’s Office, presented on “Scams and Scammers” targeting seniors, followed by a Q&A session.

Looking ahead, we will continue to bring speakers who provide valuable information about your well-being. Our next meeting will feature Rainy Kaplan, IRTA Vice President, who will share details about upcoming insurance benefits. You’ll also get to hear about the Excellence in Education Grant winners from DuPage.

Our goal is to offer you fellowship and vital information about your pension, insurance, and overall well-being. Meetings are held at Steven's Restaurant, where you can order from the full menu and only pay for what you select. This setup provides a more relaxed environment for socializing.

We are excited to share the news about the Teachers & Schools who have received Grant Money Awards from the IRTA Foundation. Thanks to your support, two teachers from the DIRTA area were among the recipients this year!

We want to extend a heartfelt thank you to all of you who continue to support the IRTA Foundation. Your contributions make a real difference, and we couldn’t have done this without you.

Upon retiring in 2004 I joined IRTA Lifetime for the protection of my TRS Pension, Insurance, and AMBA Member Benefits. DuPage Unit gave me an opportunity to learn, share and develop my leadership skills, serving with other fabulous colleagues. I expanded my knowledge on all my retired benefits and opportunities.
